We at tedrive are dedicated to the concept of manufacturing excellence. The goal is maximising customer satisfaction. We work every day at our facilities to optimise your value stream using lean manufacturing, synchronous material flow and the principles of a demand-oriented plant. Our production structuring is geared to efficiency, and our plants and equipment meet the highest technical standards.

Although maintaining competitiveness in today’s market environment is not possible without persistent cost management and constant efficiency gains, such matters cannot be allowed to negatively influence quality. And independent industry awards confirm that our production teams have a thorough grasp of the interaction between these factors.

The Wuelfrath facility – now tedrive Steering GmbH – was honoured in 2001 with the “Excellent Performance Improvement” award as part of the “Factory of the Year 2001“ industrial competition. Two years later, in 2003, the Dueren plant (now tedrive Germany GmbH and part of a manufacturing alliance with tedrive Poland Sp. z o.o. in Praszka), successfully took part in the same contest, coming away as winner in the “Excellent Change Management” category. The “Factory of the Year“ is an annual comparative review that rewards production facilities in Germany for their outstanding performance. The country’s toughest benchmarking challenge for manufacturing companies was initiated in 1992 by Produktion, a German industry magazine, and management consultancy A.T. Kearney. Today, it is held under the auspices of Germany’s Federal Economics and Technology Ministry. tedrive’s Poland site, meanwhile, was named the eastern Europe winner of the “Industrial Excellence Award 2006“ (“The Best Factory”). This manufacturing competition is organised by the INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau, France and the WHU, a Koblenz, Germany-based management school, in cooperation with German business weekly Wirtschaftswoche.
